Sarah graduated from the London School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1990, and completed a post-graduate Clinical Programme in Nanjing, China.

She then worked privately and in public health institutions in the United Kingdom and South Africa, and was involved in planning and co-ordinating South Africa's first undergraduate Chinese Medicine Training Programme at the University of the Western Cape.

In addition to her private practice in Cape Town, Sarah is involved with the Scalabrini Centre's Flying Needle Project, which provides free health services to refugees and low income groups.

Through her practice she found that patients sometimes needed more tools to help them uncover deep blocks and challenges, and so trained as a life coach. This has given her the skills to help others in the exciting process of self-discovery. For several years, Sarah volunteered her time and coaching skills to rehabilitation and re-integration programmes for prisoners and members of their communities.
